HOPA-1700 17" Very High Bright Open Frame LCD Panel

HOPA-1700 is a 17" high brightness that includes a LCD module w/ BI320A inverter and an industrial grade MG21 LCD controller mounted behind the LCD module. At the full brightness setting, the display screen luminance is 1300 nits. At this level, the display is highly readable under bright ambient lighting including direct outdoor sunlight. In addition, the LCD controller MG21 has a wide range brightness control that can adjust the screen brightness down for night viewing
 

BI320A Inverter 

BI320A is a CCFL inverter which operates the very high bright backlights in this sunlight readable LCD modules. The inverter has an on-board pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming circuit to provide an extremely wide luminance adjustment range. Over the entire dimming range, there is no noticible lamp flickering and the uniformity of the backlight is well maintained. When using BI320A with this LCD module, it is not necessary to synchronize the PWM circuit to the vertical sync signal of the LCD.
 

MG21 LCD Controller 

It is compact and with analog RGB (VGA) and DVI inputs. It uses the Genesis gm5621 chip and supports TFT LCD modules up to SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) native resolution (1.31 MPixels) with 16,777,216 colors

For video inputs beyond the SXGA (1280 x 1024) resolution, the MG21 down scales the input video to the native resolution of the LCD, and then displays the image over the screen. It supports video input all the way to WUXGA (1920 x 1200)
